Selsey Town Council is looking for a Governance Administrator (Council Administration Assistant) to join our welcoming office team. This is a part-time role (30 hours, Mon-Fri) with plenty of variety, stability, and the chance to play a key role in supporting your local community.
✨ What you'll be doing:
✅ Greeting visitors and handling enquiries
✅ Managing hall and wedding bookings, supporting clients where needed
✅ Making sure halls are set up correctly for meetings and classes
✅ Scheduling standard social media posts for the Council and partners
We're looking for someone who's organised, thorough, and able to juggle different tasks with ease. Don't worry if you haven't done this exact role before—full training will be provided! All you need is a good standard of English, IT skills, and a positive, proactive attitude.
What we offer:
Salary of £26,403 per year (pro rata)
Enrolment into the Local Government Pension Scheme
26 days holiday (pro rata, including Christmas closure), plus 8 bank holidays
