Statement from Rich:

"Hi, my name is Rich Moorey and I am your new Community Warden for Selsey.

I am very much looking forward to becoming part of your community in Selsey and engaging in as many ways as possible with residents.

My priorities are to provide a visible and reassuring presence to prevent and deter crime and Anti-Social Behaviour in the area. I'll be a point of contact available to offer help and advice, look after and help improve the local environment and make a positive difference in the community. I will also assist the community in keeping them updated on new schemes and events the District Council are planning.

Before my new appointment I was a Police Community Support Officer with Sussex Police for 14 years covering the areas of Tangmere, Oving and The Swanfield Estate in Chichester. My role involved community engagement, dealing with Anti-Social behaviour and criminal offences.

Partnership working was also an important part of my role so on a regular basis I would work with the Community Wardens to deal with and reduce ongoing issues in the area. I believe the skills and experience I have gained over the last 14 years will help me deliver a first-class service to The Community of Selsey."
